Proteins

Protein is an essential nutrient, vital for the structure of your body and its functions. It is made up of amino acids, commonly known as the building blocks of protein and are essential for the manufacturing of even more specialised proteins in your body. Proteins are present in the outer and inner membranes of all living cells from your hair, nails and skin, to the muscle tissues, bone and even red blood cells.

Different Types of Proteins

Proteins are made up of small units called amino acids of which there are twenty different types divided into two groups: 1) non-essential amino acids and 2) essential amino acids. They are all necessary for building the proteins that form your various body tissues.
